Re: C-section Mommies who are a few years out...
I hate it. It's, well, not sure how to describe the color - it's not red or purple, but definitely several shades darker than my skin color. And it's not a thin scar. It has gotten better in these 2.5 years but definitely not close to disappearing. I think it's keloid-like. It's below my underwear line but how it looks still really bothers me.

Re: C-section Mommies who are a few years out...
With my dd I had a crash csection and staples and my scar was so invisible that in the hospital before I had my 2nd they asked me if I was sure I had a csection before lol!
With ds it's been almost 3 years and my scar is virtually invisible but if you look really closely you can kind of see it. It's really low and thin and about 3 inches. Completely the same color as my skin.

C-section Mommies who are a few years out...
I am seriously jealous of you ladies!
Mine is so gross and big. I wonder if that's just the way it's going to be, or if it will fade. I also know my OB wasn't te most experienced with Csections. Probably a combination of that and my body's own healing.

18 months and my scar is one big keloid! I'm having another cs in 6 weeks amid now I'm nervous it's going to make it worse. Thankfully it's below my bikini line!
I had DS #2 two years ago and my scar looks great. I also had a keloid after DS #1 in 2008. When I had my second c-section two years later, the doctor "cut away" the old one and the new incision healed much better! It is flatter and lighter than the first one.
You may heal better this time- and I did nothing different during the recovery process so I am not sure why it was different. GL!
Wow Really?!?!? Thanks! This gives me some hope!! I know it's not visible to everyone else, but to me, i just can't stand it!

2 years out - almost invisible! seriously. just a thin white line (line pencil line thin)
Ditto! And mine is only about 3-4 inches, tops.
Ditto. Mine was also an emergency c-section.

I had one section 3 years ago and the second one 11 months ago and my scar is pretty much non existent. I can tell if I look really closely..very thin and straight.

It's probably a keloid, they fixed mine and it happened again There are lasers and creams to help, I just haven't done anything yet

One year out and it's barely visible. He did such a great job on it.
