B'way's Sweeny Todd
I just wanted to say that if you want to see a great show Sweeny is it!!! I know it is a rather dark tale, but if you enjoy theatre in it's purest, not relying on special effects and gimmicks, form then this show is a must. 10 amazing performers doing it all by themselves and I mean literally. They are the actors, singers and orchestra. It is seeing a show like this that reminds me why I wanted to persue theatre. Just thought that I would throw it out there for anyone wanting recommendations.

Oh, you have to let me know what you think of it!!! I was so excited to get tickets for it last night at TKTS I almost cried!!! I was sitting there waiting for the lights to go down just saying to DH "I'm So Excited!!". I am a huge fan of Patti LaPone and getting to see one of my idols on stage for the first time was overwhelming.
Jackie- Like I said I got tickets at TKTS for 50% off on a Friday night. They were in the front row of the mezzanine, but they were great seats. The O'Neil is a pretty small house.

The high school I work in did a performance of Sweeny Todd the first year I worked there.
It was an amazing show in a high school auditorium - I can only imagine it on Broadway! I may have to buy tickets for DH and I to go, because I forced him to watch it at school and he actually enjoyed it!

WE saw it a couple of years ago at Lincoln Center. It was more of an opera there but it was great!!!

Wow. what a great performance! We were completely blown away. Very impressive - and I highly recommend it as well.
