Bummed
Dh told me tonight he cannot get off time to come to NY for Christmas. He is Jewish, but celebrates Christmas with us, etc. He told me to go to NY--he knows I will be miserable without my family---he has to work. But, his place is closed on Christmas Day & closes early on Christmas Eve.  Apparently, 3 others have off then. I have been after him since September to put in to have Christmas off--he just looks into it today.
I am so bummed, I have had tears in my eyes ever since he told me. Plus, my 30th birthday is the day after Christmas, which he will not be spending with me either.
This just Sucks

hmmm... 
Well, I will try my hardest even if he comes out after he gets out of work on Christmas eve---as the ferry does not run on Christmas day
I told him I would stay here in RI with him so he is not home alone--he says that is foolish---for me to sit home becaue he is working
HE better put in NOW for next year----that is all I have to say!
And, once we do have a family, he WILL take off--not getting around that!
