BTDT- Pregnant ladies/mommies
if this is your second pregnancy or more, do you find that your symptoms are the same as your past pregnancies? were your food aversions the same or different?
as for me, I found with the last 2 pregnancies i could not eat chicken or pork.. basically white meat. the 2nd pregnancy resulted in a mc at 12weeks.. so this is my 3rd and so far at 5w4d no aversions yet. my 1st pregnancy i was not sick, however i was sick with my 2nd.
so what are your findings!

Re: BTDT- Pregnant ladies/mommies
With this pregnancy, the similarities are I had morning sickness until about 11 weeks and then it completely disappeared (thank god and it was a little bit worse this time around) I completely crave fruit, salads and chocolate chip cookies (or anything chocolate for that matter) just like with DD
The only difference is I am a little more tired but I dont think that has anything to do with the pregnancy but just running around after a 19 month old!!!!

Re: BTDT- Pregnant ladies/mommies
This pregnancy has been almost 100% different then my first pregnancy.
First pregnancy I was sick from about 5.5 weeks through 26 weeks. I lost 12 lbs in my first trimester and only gained 8 back in my last trimester. I was throwing up SEVERAL times a day, EVERY day. My sciatic nerve was horrible and started at around 4-5 months. I got charlie horses in my legs every night for months on end. I had gestational diabetes and ended up with a 9lb 10 oz baby. And I LOOOVED being pregnant...the novelty of it all made all of the other things seem insignificant.
This time I had nausea worst at around 7-9 weeks and then it started to improve. At 9 weeks I went on the Disney Cruise and I have to admit that it wasn't all that bad --- I was afraid I'd be so sick but I wasn't. I haven't thrown up once and I am now 33 weeks. And I've gained weight! I am up 23 lbs now and wouldn't mind if I had pretty much stayed the same like last time. I do NOT have gestational diabetes. I test my Blood Sugar 4x a day just to keep an eye on it because of my history and my numbers are great. And the baby is measuring in the 65th percentile and not off the charts like my first daughter was.
So yes...you can have two healthy pregnancies and have them be entirely different! It will be interesting to see if this baby is a boy or a girl!

Re: BTDT- Pregnant ladies/mommies
So far I think the symptoms are very similar. I was sick both times but it different ways. With DS I felt nauseous and hungover everyday all day. With this one, I've gotten bad headaches and really bad nausea. When I'm sick I'm really sick this time. The exhaustion is the same too. Same weight gain so far too.

Re: BTDT- Pregnant ladies/mommies
I'm having a very different pg this time around & thankfully it's much better!
With my 1st I was only adverse to chicken, but this time around anything meaty (incl. fish) completely skeeves me out...I can't even look at it. Unfortunately that means that I haven't been eating such a well-rounded diet I've been craving citrus & lots of sweet stuff, which is the same...
Physically, I'm 100x better this time around, so (other than the 2 weeks that I had bad sciatica) I hate to complain!

Re: BTDT- Pregnant ladies/mommies
My symptoms have been a little different this time around. With my 1st I had no morning sickness whatsoever but this time I had nausea for the first 10 -12 weeks or so. Nothing terrible but more than I had the first time. I've also been craving much more junk food(sweets, fried stuff) this time but funnily enough have gained less weight so far. Also, no linea nigra this time around (yet..I'm 28 weeks) but first time around I had it early on and it was very dark.

Re: BTDT- Pregnant ladies/mommies
This pregnancy is so different from my first. With my first, I had horrible heartburn from about 5 weeks on, lots of food aversions, needed to eat every 2-3 hours or I'd feel sick, threw up every morning for weeks, had terrible nausea, lots of skin issues and craved cabrs and Mexican food during the first trimester. I haven't had any of those things with my second pregnancy except some heartburn here and there and very moderate nausea. I'm glad that my symptoms this time have been much better.

Not crazy different. I haven't been sick for either pregnancies. Boobs hurt for both.
The main difference is I have alot of growing pains very early on this time- lots of pains and soreness down low. But I'm carrying 2 this time so I think that's why.
Never had any food aversions, still don't. I had no cravings with my first, this time I'm craving fruit.
