Btdt nursing and pumping
I am breastfeeding and dd eats about every 3 hours. I can't remember what I did lady time so I am wondering if anyone can land some direction. I should add that I can only feed from the right side. Do you think I should be pumping in between feeds? Will this increase my supply and if so will I be able to go out of the house without having a pump on me. Thanks

Don't your boobs hurt though? Is they enough milk for the next feeding.that's what I am afraid I won't be able to produce enough

Btdt nursing and pumping
Pumping does not make my breasts sore. There should be enough milk for the next feeding since your supply should increase based on demand. I usually pump for 10 minutes on each side and I get about 3 oz. if you breasts are sore it could mean that you are not emptying them enough during feedings.

Re: Btdt nursing and pumping
If you're only nursing on the right side, I'd imagine your left side is getting severely engorged, especially if you're not pumping it. I nurse and then pump after to empty as much as possible. 3 hours later I'm ready to go again.

Re: Btdt nursing and pumping
it depends on how old your baby is and what is your goal in developing a stash. generally, EBF moms pump about 1x a day in the morning before or after the first feed when they're most full.
