BTDT Moms....1st Birthday themes
I have a while to go but I like to try and get a head start on thinking about what to do for her first birthday... Any ideas?

Honestly, I'd wait - it doesn't take that long to get a theme together.
DS didn't really "like" anything except the theme song from Little Einsteins.
Your DD might turn into a big fan of barn animals or might be a disney princess - too soon to tell.

Basically, we're just using some decorations with cupcakes on them and giving cupcakes as favors, etc.
DD isn't really into any one character and when I saw some of the cupcake decorations, I just thought they were really cute.

For my first son we did Backyardigans bc he loved them. Tyler is having a Barnyard Bash (which is sooo much fun to plan) - He doesn't watch any TV and my older son loves animals so that's why I went this route!

We did a cupcake theme. DD had a cupcake dress, I made cupcake centerpieces (painted pots to look like cupcakes) had cupcakes instead of a cake and the favors were crayon keeper rolls made with a cupcake fabric - green for boys and pink for girls. Had some other cupcake theme stuff throw in there too.

for my DD #1 I did a Fairy Princess theme. It was unique and difficult for decorations, but I pulled it together.
For DD #2 (who is only 10 days old) Her name is Summer, so I am most likely doing a summer theme.

We did a rubber ducky theme! Ezra's loved his theme so much, he carried around rubber ducks for most of his party!
