I was 1-1.5 cm dilated and 50% effaced for 1 month.
It means nothing :(
When my water broke, I was 2 cm dilated.
I got put on pitocin for about 20 hours before starting to push.

I was 1-2 cm at 36 weeks and stayed that way for a few weeks. At 39 weeks I had another internal at my check up and nothing different. I went into labor that night and by the time I got to the hospital I was almost 4 cm.

not much before labor...i started contracting every 30 min. at 5pm. i was 10 min. apart by 10pm and 3-4 min. apart by 12 or 1 am. At the hospital at 1:30am I was 4cm but the baby was born at 4:17am with 15 min. of pushing. it went fast then! btw, i was a week overdue.
