Re: BTDT moms---convertible cribs

We have a convertible crib for our son, but he us only 18 months so we haven't converted it yet. It made the most sense to us- it can "grow" with him. We just bought the exact same crib in a different color for this baby because we love it so much, and this one will grow with him or her too!

Not BTDT, but I don't seem myself actually converting the crib. First, kids are rough on their furniture. Second, if we have another close enough, I will give him/her the crib and buy DS a twin bed. Third, mine converts into a full and I'd rather DS have a twin.

Yes, we converted DS set (full size bed) when he was about 2.5 he was in for about 7 months until we converted it back to a crib for DS#2 (due in August). DS#1 now has a new bedroom and set and DS#2 will have the nursery set that we do plan on converting into a bed for him when he is older.

Same for us, and I also think we are going to buy the same set for this DS too.

Re: BTDT moms---convertible cribs

We made sure that their cribs turned into toddler beds. They will not go into full size when they out grow the toddler bed. So I couldn't see paying for one that did.

#1 converted to a full bed - and we did convert

#2 converted to a toddler bed and we converted it.

We got #2 a new twin bed, so #3 will use his old crib that converts to a toddler bed and hopefully use that until she needs a twin/full (depending on the size of the room we will have at the time)

My DD is only 2 months but thats why we bought the crib we did. We plan to covert it to a toddler bed and than a full size bed. We also choose antique white for that reason because i think it will grow better with her than darker furniture
