BTDT: labor
For those of you that have gone into labor... did you feel any different in the days leading up to delivery? Or did you feel completely normal and then suddenly go into labor?
Just wondering :)

Re: BTDT: labor
I felt fine. Just a bit cranky! The day before I was having what I now know were irregular mild contractions. Very irregular, not timeable, more of a tightening than a cramping. I worked from home that day because of it and woke up around 2 am with more pain and started timing them. I called the doctor that morning at 6 am, they told me to come in to get checked and sure enough I was 4-5 cm and ready to go.

Re: BTDT: labor
I felt ok, but TMI ALERT...I was in the bathroom a lot a day or two before I went into labor. Sorry My mother had told me that was a sign of labor coming and it was true for me.

Re: BTDT: labor
Gave birth on a Tuesday.
Sunday I just felt off. I couldn't explain it. Monday I was having semi-regular cramps/contractions and pooped a lot.

BTDT: labor
I felt like my baby was going to drop out. THe day after Xmas I was in Lowes with my DH and said to him we have to go home cause I don't want to have the baby in Lowes. I was slightly joking because I still had over 3 weeks to go. The next day I went to my high risk Dr and they said my fluids were low but not to worry just come back in a few days. My water broke that night.
Never had any contractions or any other signs...just was super uncomfy.

I felt perfectly fine (other than the normal enormous feeling of approaching 42 weeks) up until a few hours before. I had absolutely no signs and had barely dilated to 1cm at my last appt. After going out to dinner my stomach hurt and I thought I had just eaten too much. That was maybe 8pm. At midnight I realized they were contractions and were coming every 7 minutes exactly. I went went to hospital the following morning and DD was born that night.

no signs for me, other than I got a complete night of sleep the night before. I didn't wake up a single time and that never happens (and hasn't happened since, that's for sure!). I woke at 7am, though I might have felt a contraction around 715am and boom at 1015am, DD was born, I barely made it to the hospital!

Re: BTDT: labor
I could barely move the day before I went into labor. I was SO tired. I even said to my best friend, "I hope that this isn't labor!" but it was!

Felt fine. Had in internal the day before. Was 2cm. But I was 2cm for weeks. Woke up 6am next morning and thought I had to use the bathroom. It was actually contractions. Didn't tell DH until 9am that he wasn't going to work. Went to hospital around 12:30. Dd was born at 3:50.

Death. I felt like death. I could barely walk. At my 38w appointment I mentioned how horrible I felt, and the midwife said it was to be expected. Started having contractions that day, my water broke at night, and DS was born 2 days later.

Re: BTDT: labor
Felt fine, except for being almost 9 days overdue. I couldn't sleep at all that night, I tossed and turned, and then out of the blue I had a strong contraction at 2am exactly. DD was born just after 5pm.

I felt like complete CR*P! Just drained and tired and like I got hit by a truck. That night my water broke (I didn't know it yet though). Sunday (the next day) I had stomach pains and felt even worse.

Re: BTDT: labor
#1- felt completely normal and then woke up the next morning with my bloody show.
#2- had contractions since 34 weeks but other than that, felt completely normal leading up to labor.

I felt nothing leading up to labor either time. My water broke spontaneously both times without warning.

Re: BTDT: labor
The day before DD was born I worked 9-5, went to school 5-7, and then taught dance classes 7:30-9:30. It was a Wednesday. I told my dance students "I've decided that I'm going to have her on Friday so don't plan on seeing me for Saturday classes." DD decided the joke was on me and came Thursday. Labor started at 5:30am, only 7.5 hours after I got home. I was just fine the whole day before and even slept well that night.
