BTDT C-section - steri strips
I had my staples removed and steri strips put on 3 weeks ago. My dr said they should start to fall off in about 2 weeks and I could then help them along. Well it is 3 weeks and they are not going any where. Can I take them off? I am going to call the dr tomorrow but just thought I would ask. When did your steri strips fall off? I just want to be done with them!

Mine didn't budge either and the dr. took them off at my appt., however he ripped them off pretty quickly and the skin around my incision bled and eventually scabbed. It was one of the worst parts! LOL
Maybe see if you can moisten them so it helps loosen them up.

Some of mine stayed on until my 6 week appointment! I got so annoyed that I stood in the shower and took em off that way.

Only 1 of mine fell off on it's own. The rest my dr removed at my 2 week follow-up appt. She just did it slowly with a q-tip like thing to keep it sterile. But there's no reason you have to take it off. Just let them fall off on their own.

I had my staples removed on Monday and my dr told me to rip them off the following Saturday. I did it in the shower and it didn't hurt at all.

At my 2 week appointment my dr said I could take them off. She didn't want to pull my hairs out and hurt me. It was easy to do in the shower and didn't hurt.

BTDT C-section - steri strips
Those things are a pain in the butt! Mine did not fall off on its own; I had I help them out cuz they were looking kind of funky after a while. I remember using Dove Body wash on a loofah in a hot shower and just gently wiping. Once I came out the shower it was much easier to peel off. Can't wait to do again in 4 months:)
