BTDT Breastfeeding Moms- which bottles?

I plan on breastfeeding but know that at some point I will be pumping and do atleast 1 bottle a day. Which bottles did you use? Someone recommended the Playtex drop ins because they said you can pump directly into the bags with an adapter I think and also they said the nipples are most like the breast compared to other brands. Anyone who breastfeeds agree or disagree with this?

Crashing here *
We use avent bottles. I chose them because they have been around a while and a good friend who is a certified lactation nurse used them on 3 of her children. To be honest every child is different and will take to different things.

Sorry to crash. I have been breastfeeding my son for almost 4 months now. The first 2 months were very tough, i pumped a lot. The Playtex drop in system is east to use and Amazon sell a breast milk storage kit that makes pimping into them super easy. I used the Breastflow bottles with DS because he had a hard time latching i didn't want to get him nipple confused and the Breastflow bottles are the closest thing to the nipple and make the baby do what they do on breast to the nipple of the bottle to get the milk, they worked well and my 2.5 months he was breastfeeding perfectly, although i credit that to sticking with it and the Brest Friend Nursing pillow.

Thank you- nipple confusing was one of my main concern with choosing a bottle.

Playtex Drop ins were the best for DS. They were easy to use and I pumped directly into the bags sometimes. The less transfer the better.

With DD she only used the Tommee Tippee and Mam so we bought those for DS. I ep with DD until 8wks and then she latched so it was never a nipple issue....well DS HATED every stinking nipple we had. He finally started eating a bottle with the free similac nipple on a Medeasl pumped bottle. He will now also take a Medeal nipple. Moral of the story is I wouldn't buy $40 worth of bottles like we did until you know what DC will like.

DS#1 had really bad gas in the beginning & Dr. Brown's bottles were a Godsend! Once he was a bit older I switched to the Playtex Drop-ins & they were pretty great as well (I used that adapter when pumping)...I remember wishing that I had switched to them sooner!

I pumped into the Medela bottles that came w/ the pump, and I stored them in there and then put them in the Playtex Dropins, The plastic baggies make warming the bm quicker as well. I never got the adapter to pump directly into the baggies.

I b/f DD for 7 months and used Born Free bottles for pumped milk. Worked great and I plan to do that again for #2.

Re: BTDT Breastfeeding Moms- which bottles?

We got Born Free bottles for my first son, on a recommendation from a few different people. They worked great for us, so we stuck with them. They are designed to reduce air intake, thus reducing gas in the baby (I know there are a few other brands that are like this as well). And I, too, was worried about nipple confusion, so I liked that Born Free had the wide neck, so it is closer to the feel of the breast. I breastfed my son for 15 months, and he had probably 1-2 bottles of BM a week, and he never had a problem switching back and forth. We decided to go with Born Free again for our second son, and so far so good- though he has only had 2 bottles so far Chat Icon. But he took it with no problem. With bottles, especially for BF babies, it's one of those things that may require trial and error. Some babies are pickier than others with bottles, so you may have to try a couple different ones with your LO before settling on one that works. Also, there are several bottles that you can pump directly into. I know there is a Born Free adapter for the Medela pumps, and you can pump directly into the Medela bottles. I believe Avent may have an adapter as well, but not sure. I never did it that way though, because I liked to pump right into the Medela bottles to store it and then just measure and pour exactly what I needed into the Born Free bottle for each feeding.
