BTDT - contractions and sharp pains questions

is this 'normal' for someone that's around 36 weeks?
the contractions my OB said were normal and that i'd get them until i delivered...however i've been starting to get some sharp pains in the lower abdominal area but they come and go.

had a couple yesterday...having a couple today.

wondering if this is par for the course or if I'm getting close

same here. I spoke to my doctor about this because I am towards the end too and she said it's normal and the baby is putting more pressure and that's why we are getting the pains.
