broccoli....

i bought fresh broccoli spears from meat farms in that little package...now how do i cook it? lol what meals can i make? i wanted to do chicken and broccli ( like from chinese food place) but i have no idea how to make it.

if i decide to just make broccoli and cheese how would i cook it?? sorry i normally do the frozen broccoli Chat Icon

Fresh broccoli? Not Frozen?

You can cut off the florets and steam them until bright green.

Or you can slice lengthwise, toss with a little olive oil and chopped garlic and roast in the oven for 20 minutes.

Or you can do Hayley's Burnt Broccoli which is DELICIOUS!

I usually slice length wise, toss into a large ziplock bag & add EVOO, salt, crushed garlic & red pepper flakes.

Toss until evenly coated, put into glass baking dish & bake in oven for 40-45 mins around 350. I judge when its done by how burnt the tops are.
