I didn’t register for these because I remember reading somewhere that because the car seat isn’t directly in contact with the seat in the car they weren’t safe. However, recently read on the website they are safety tested and approve, anyone have them and can confirm? My sons feet are touching the backs of my seat which wouldn’t be a problem but now one walks all over and is in sand and such and I want to find someway to protect my seat if possible, thoughts?!?

I wouldn't use it because I'm neurotic.

We just got a new car with tan interior (because we're idiots) and I've been taking DD's shoes off. She told her teacher this morning "I barefoot in red car so daddy doesn't get upset."

Re: Brica car guardian

We use it in DHs truck BUT with a high back booster. The booster just sits there and positions the seat belt so it hits her properly and it's not installed or tethered to anything so it's not like this thing is going to affect installation.
I don't think I'd use it with a car seat.
But also, this won't prevent them from dirtying the back of your seat with their feet.
You can buy something that hangs from your seat and covers and protects the back of it from kicking feet.

Here this.... kick mat

I’m pretty neurotic, but I don’t see how this would affect the car seat’s effectiveness. Especially since in the manual they have you use a rolled towel or pool noodle to level the seat if necessary. Wouldn’t that interfere as well??

For a while, I used a kick mat (that's supposed to hang on the back of a seat, but I hung it in front of my RF car seat.) I can't recall which brand, but the type I had wasn't long enough to touch my car seat. It worked, but it got torn up and I didn't replace it. Now my seat gets dirty and it doesn't bother me.
