breathing and Pg

Today I have had a horrible time breathing. My chest feels so heavy. I have asthma and of course I wait until after the walk in center is closed to say maybe I should go. What should I do? Any suggestions? I really do not feel like going to the hospital and of course I don't have an inhaler!

TIA!

either call your physician (usually the office has an emergency # for someone on call), or go to the hospital.... it sounds like your asthma may be acting up

I called my regular doctor and I am giving it an hour for them to call back. Otherwise I will call my ob (who doesn't know me - I just met w/ the NP).

I actually had an attack the other night. I don't want to use the inhaler b/c it's a steroid, and my doc had told me earlier that he would prefer I not use it, but he would give me something to use if I couldn't get past the attack.

I actually wound up sitting, and forced myself to relax totally. Mind and body. Drank water, and just chilled. I slowed my breathing, and the attack slowly went away in 15 minutes.

Re: breathing and Pg

I don't have asthma and I have been having a tough time breathing on and off for some time now with pressure in my chest. For me it's just the baby but its a very unliked feeling that you cannot breath
