Breathable bumpers
When I was Preg I read all the warnings about how bumpers aren't safe/can cause SIDS. Bc of this I didn't want anything to do with bumpers & vowed not to.
DD sleeps in a bassinet in our room but within the next month or so will transition to the crib. I've put her in her crib a few times during the day & immediately she rolls onto her stomach/moves & gets her foot/leg stuck between the slats.
I bought breathable bumpers & put them on the crib today. They r "better" than regular bumpers but are they still a big SIDS threat to DD? She will be 6 months in 2 weeks & prob won't be in her crib for another month ( so she will be around 7 months then). She obv won't be a newborn in there with the breathable bumpers so she should be ok right????
I'm so stressed out... I don't want DD to get her feet/legs stuck but I am scared of the bumpers, even breathable ones. What do you guys think???????

Re: Breathable bumpers
You must follow your gut instinct.
I was very nervous with them too but he kept getting stuck. Now, I am comfortable with them. We started at 8 months and he is almost 10 months now. but you know what! he still gets through. They are very soft and he easily pushes them down and puts his hands out..yet has not gotten stuck lately anyway. maybe I didnt put them on right?? We had a rockin horse next to the crib (oops) and I found him with his head up against the bars, two hands out, horse hair stuck all over his wet (from his teething- drool) hands!! (horse is now moved) so it hasnt really stopped him from getting limbs out but .. He does like to sleep snuggled up against them though.
