Breastfeeding help- eating too often?
We finally had a good night last night- he slept in 3 hour stretches, woke up to feed and went right down- but today between 10am-1pm, he wanted to eat like every 30-45 minutes... he finally must have gotten enough and passed out at 1 and is still asleep at 4.
Does this mean that I am not producing enough milk for him? or is he going through a growth spurt or something.
Would appreciate any advice anyone has! tia

prob a growth spurt...
but also could just want to comfort suck! Have you tried a binkie! This helped in our case but my DS still wanted to eat ever 1.5hrs!
If you *think you are not making enough the best thing is to do what you are doing and put the baby to the breast to "tell" your breast to produce more!

thanks ladies! he's 3 weeks and I am definitely feeling a let down each time- its just that he is eating for like 25-30 minutes off the breast and I feel like after 20-23 minutes nothing comes out- I know nothing comes out when I am pumping at that point

Sounds pretty normal, some days you have baby attached to you all day...others, not so much! Keep up the good work!
