Breakouts
I know I have to speak to my doctor about this, but in the meantime, I'm hoping you can help.
I've always had breakouts here and there, and am so afraid with this pregnancy, that it will get worse. That being said, I know my options in terms of medicine are limited. I've been on ALL types of medicine. I am wondering what you girls use now either OTC or RX that you can recommend. I will touch base with my RE on Monday and ask him about, but in the meantime, I need some help!!

Re: Breakouts
I ordered a face wash called Belli, made just for pregnant women. It's not the greatest face wash in the world, but its pretty good and I am satisfied with it. You can certainly give it a try and see how you do with it. Someone here reccomended it and I bought it at drugstore.com Good luck! XOXOXO BOTB

Re: Breakouts
I also had not-so-great skin before pregnancy and now it's been TERRIBLE! I went to the dermatologist and he told me that Erythromycin (it's a prescription and i got a topical solution) was safe during pregnancy but that I should just check with my OB first. My OB said it was ok so that's what I've been using. Of course, I still only use it when I really have to, but lately I've had to use it a lot!

Re: Breakouts
I have just been suffering through the breakouts, going to the derm. for injections when I have giant ones and using tea tree oil when I feel one beneath the surface. It has kept me pretty clear so far.

Re: Breakouts
I had really bad skin prepregnancy and really dry scalp...I was worried in the beginning too but I haved to say my dry scalp is completely gone and my skin has never looked better....everyone keeps telling me how great I look!!
So you never know with the preggo hormones..your skin might actually improve....

Re: Breakouts
I've been known to have tempermental skin, and now unfortunately, it is worse. Sometimes I use toothpaste at night to try and zap them, and it does work, but I need something more preventitive.

Re: Breakouts
I had bad skin before I took clomid then it was gorgeous no issues at all. As soon as I went off of it the skin issues started again. When I got PG it got much worse. My Dr gave ne a ckindamyacin facial treatment-it is a bottle with a sponge applicator and you use it twice a day-its definitely been helping. I just use a regular face wash made by Obagi
