Breaking out..

I stopped BC in November and DH and I are TTC. Last month my cycle was 33 days (was always 28 days while on BC). It's now CD 28 and according to OPK I still HAVEN"T ovulated yet. ugh.. I hate not knowing. At this rate AF will come in March, LOL

I noticed for the last week i'm breaking out like crazy!! Has think happened to anyone else?

Has anyone heard of someone ovulating one month and not the next? I use OPK and I started testing on CD 7, so i'm guessing I either missed my O day or it's just really late this month..

Re: Breaking out..

Give yourself at least 3 months to regulate after coming off of BCPs. Your body needs time to readjust and start producing hormones naturally again. I'd take another 2 months, at least, to just wing it and have fun before even thinking about OPKs.

Re: Breaking out..

I definitely started breaking out a lot when I first went of BCP. Part of me was worried that it was helping keep my skin clear and now I was going to have this horrible skin. Now it's started to adjust in the months following and I just break out a little before AF. Give it a little time to work though Chat Icon

Agreed. Also it could be stress.

Re: Breaking out..

My first month off BC was pretty normal (although I wasn't tracking ovulation). My 2nd month, however, was VERY long. It got to the point that I really thought something was wrong.

Like a lot of PP's have said, give yourself a few months to regulate, and wacky hormones are to be expected, unfortunately. Chat Icon

It takes time to regulate. Test with OPKs twice a day until you get your surge.

Breaking out..

I have been off since sept. By oct I felt like a 13 year old girl over again every time I looked in the mirror. The past few weeks it has been clearing up. The first 3 months my cycle was 33 days. Last month was 42. We shall see what this month brings. Just sit back and wait. I was crazy the first 2 months I have defiantly eased up on myself.
