Boy Scout/Girl Scout .. Member dues?
What are the general fees? Just looking to get an idea

We paid about $75 when we joined the Cub Scouts. We got a book, the hat and neckerchief with that registration fee.

Girl Scout registration is $15 per girl and $15 for an adult, which is recommended. Dues will probably vary- in my school district/service unit, if you ask 5 leaders you will get 5 answers but some might have a uniform policy. I think we collected $30 for supplies and $30 for patches this year, upfront, then we did not collect again.
I know leaders who tack on more money up front and then pay for events from that, but we do it as we go along and it probably adds another $100 per kid or close over the year.

Boy and Girl Scouts are different. We pay $30 registration in Suffolk for girls. Dues about $80 a year plus uniform and books. Trips are extra as well as programs offered through council

Nassau County Boy Scout registration fee is $24.00, boys Life Magazine is $12.00 ? My Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop also charge a Pack/ Troop Fee. Cubs total $75.00 BS. Total $89.00 That money is used for awards, supplies , to subsidies trips etc.

Our cub scouts charge $90 year. Includes registration and other fees, money towards running den meetings (I get $35-40 per child to run my year long den meetings), rest goes towards awards and pack nights and events.

Boy Scout/Girl Scout .. Member dues?
My sister has been my niece's Girl Scout leader for 9 years. The dues are chosen by the leader and that depends on what kind of projects/trips they want to go on. My sister always brings the girls fun places like the dude ranch or Hershey. The dues of $3 per week aren't going to pay for that. So what they sell in nuts, cookies or magazine sales help. However, what the girls get from those is minimal. At $4 per box of cookies, the troop gets only 50 cents. Whatever they don't make in sales, the parents have to make up the difference if they want their daughters to be involved.

$30 registration fee & $37 (i believe) for the apron (Daisy). Fundraising (cookies .60cent a box, magazines & nuts) throughout the yr helps with crafts, projects, trips, patches, events. Sometimes parents attend trip but they would pay for themselves.
This yr (2nd) i paid less then $80 out of pocket.

My DD has been in the Daisy Troop for two years. It costs about $30 for the year but then we also pay a materials fee to our troop and we had to buy the vest and patches the first year.

Our CS is $100 for first year members, $85 for returning members and $75 for siblings.
The first year membership includes a class B t- shirt to wear to outings.
All cub scouts pay the fees to their district, the boys life subscription fee (which then gets mailed to their home) and fees to their pack. The pack fees for us include advancements (belt loops, patches etc) each rank book, hat, neckerchief and slide. As well as money for pack night activities and other events!
