Bought an OPK...now what?
I've been off of BCP for 3 cycles now. My first was 33 days, then 41, and then 28. I don't know when I ovulated the first two times, but for this last one, I know I ovulated somewhere between CD 12-15 (I had been to the doctor checking on a cyst, and he did blood work for me to confirm that I had already ovulated that month). I got the CBE smiley OPK, with 7 tests in the box. When should I start using them? It says CD 5 on the instructions, but that seems really early to me. I'm currently on CD 2.
Thank you

Personally given your longer cycles, I would start on CD12. Good Luck!

Re: Bought an OPK...now what?
Another idea is to buy the internet cheapies and start with them at CD 10 and once you start to get a line, then switch to the smiley! That way you don't waste your smileys, especially since you don't know how long your cycle will be and they have been different each cycle.

Re: Bought an OPK...now what?
i think this is the same brand... instructions it looks like there is also a chart showing what day to start testing depending on your cycle length
i find them to be great...the only thing is you do get faint lines and i know when i saw them and hoped i was ovulating...and i wasnt. you have to wait to see a true dark like (that matches the control line) and then you know for sure.

Re: Bought an OPK...now what?
I just ordered them :) I think I'll start testing on CD 9 or 10 in case I keep the 28 day cycle this month.
Thanks, ladies
