Bottles question for BTDT moms or anyone who knows!
Ok so I am confused. My BTDT mom friends all suggested I buy a few Avent bottles to start with since they are easier to clean than the Dr. Browns. If I have issues than I can switch. Ok, so I bought them and a bottle cleaner brush.
Question is, do I need a microwave sterilizer and a dishwasher cage and a drying mat or drying tree?
If I put them in a dishwasher do they also need to be sterilized in the microwave? Also, if I need the sterilzer, would it be ok if I don't get it right away since I don't know if these bottles will work for my child and they seem to sell them by brand of bottle.
Lastly, do I have to buy extra nipples or can I use what the bottles come with?
I'm just confused...thanks for any help you can give.

They only need to be boiled once to steralize. After that you're fine. If you want to do it once in a while that's fine, but really the moment they're touched they're not really sterile. My Ped said warm soapy water is fine. I hand washed with warm, soapy water the first few months then everything went into the dishwasher on the top rack. Actually, I was told it's bad to steralize them every time.
