How did you decide which one to use?
I am sooo lost on this one.

ETA
AND
did you end up using the original ones you registered for or did you have to change?

Re: Bottles

I used Avent, they were fine for both my kids. I registered for them, didn't have to change bottles. I did have to get a significant amount more than I had registered for because I hadn't factored in daycare bottles.

I've heard nothing but great things about Dr. Brown's.

Re: Bottles

I registered for small packs (like 3-4 bottles packages) of 3 different bottles. I did Avent, Playtex drop in and Playtex ventaires. I went on my research and advice from friends. I started with the avent and ventaire and my baby took to both so I returned the drop-ins. My dr said both were fine bottles and never even recommended to change even with my reflux/colic baby - he saw no need for DR Browns so I didn't bother. He said both were fine for that.

I did not BF - not sure if that is a concern - but for FF I would say you need about 6-8 bottles or so a day at first -if you don't want to be constantly washing them as you use them. But I would say don't stock up until you see what your baby prefers. You can always have someone run and get more as needed.

Re: Bottles

I originally wanted the playtex nursers...I thought they were best for eliminating air. But we discovered that Aly still had some painful gas with them, so I tried the Dr Brown's and they are superb!

Another Dr. BRowns lover. I got these only because of the ladies on here saying much they loved these bottles. Ryan has no gas problems at all with them. They are a little more expensive but highly worth it!

Figure my kids were there for at least a 10 hour day (Chat Icon ). Infants eat about every 3 hours. I would have at least 4-5 bottles in case my train was late or my mom picked up. Every night I needed to wash bottles, pour in the breast milk pumped & formula to get ready for the morning. Without a dishwasher, it was my most dreaded chore. All this while still nursing every 2 hours at home.Chat Icon

Don't bother getting 2 oz bottles - complete waste of money. In the end, you're going to be using 4 oz for ? (I forget, new moms: how long did your baby take 4 oz bottles?) and 8 oz bottles.

Re: Bottles

I just reg for DR Browns... being that everyone has had such great success stories with them...

Ryan had some gas issues when I stopped BFing- but I just switched to soy formula and continued with the Dr Browns, and all was well!!!

I def. think the gas issues wouldve been even worse, had i used different bottles... but Ill never know!

Same here...we went with the 4 oz bottles for the first few months and then switched to the 8 oz wide-neck bottles (the skinny ones were a PITA)

We have 2-3 extra for daycare and 6 altogether...
I love the DR.Browns!

Same here, we heart Dr Brown and her magical bottles.

I have decided that Dr Brown is a lady doctor. Probably a pediatrician with a tropical fish tank in her office. And when she gives kids injections, she gives them lollipops. And she has a beautiful silver gray beehive hairdo. And she stumbled across the recipe for her bottles by mistake one day while taking care of her grand-daughter Eloise. The End.
