bottle to sippy the same time as formula to milk?
Just curious if you did both transitions at the same time? The girls drink water fine from a sippy.. we started transitioning from bottle to sippy with formula... No luck but we just started. Going to do one bottle a day.... but in a few weeks Im going to start changing over to milk... Should I just do it all at once?

My milk transition was seamless...bottle to sippy was not. So we switched to milk at 12 mo but bottles were around until DD was ready to switch--about 18mo

bottle to sippy the same time as formula to milk?
I did both at the same time with DS. We went from bottle to straw cup starting at 11 months when I started mixing formula with milk. Started with the afternoon bottle then the morning bottle and lastly rhe night bottle.

I'm planning to do formula to milk and after that transition is complete, I'll start bottle to sippy.
There's no good reason, but the idea of DD sipping formula through a sippy grosses me out a little.

I didn't. At 12 months we went over to milk cold turkey, no transition. Then at 17 months we dropped ALL the bottles cold turkey.

This is exactly what we plan to do! Formula to milk is going well (he turned one on 8/26) and he is having water in a sippy. However, he doesn't drink nearly as much from his sippy as he does from his bottle and is definitely not ready to make the full switch so we are sticking with bottles for his milk for now. My ped said as long as he is transitioned off bottles by 18 mos, he is good.

I did both transitions at the same time. Took her a week or two to be fine with it. Just went cold turkey on the bottles and slowly introduced milk since she was on Nutramigen formula.

We did the transition to milk at 12 months - we did gradually for the first couple of days but, he was fully transitioned by day 3 or 4.
We gave him milk in sippies here and there between 12-15 months and he usually threw them. I didn't push giving up the bottle since he was miserable with teething at the time and it made him happy. At 15 months I took the bottles away cold turkey and he didn't seem to miss them (although I felt that it would be more difficult than it was).

We transitioned to milk an ounce at a time and had no issues. Once she was completely switched to milk during the day we started to introduce the sippy cup. She never refused it but definitely didn't drink as much as she did with the bottles. Rather than having set "milk times" we now just offer milk throughout the day so that she can sip whenever she is thirsty. Dd is 16 mos now and we've been doing this for about three mos.

i did both transitions at the same time at 12 months. i started adding regular milk to his bottles around 11 months so by 12 months he was completely on regular milk. at the same time, i introduced regular milk in the sippy and slowly dropped each bottle. it did take a few months (and experimenting with different sippy cups) before he was completely on regular milk sippy cups. but i also continued to nurse him morning and night until about 16 months so that could have slowed the transition down as well.
