Bottle Sterilizers
Does anyone know which sterilizer is best for the Dr. Browns bottles? I've been reading up in the Baby Bargains book and am just putting together a general idea checklist so that when it comes time to register I will be all set. I plan on registering for both Dr. Browns and Born Free bottles. Born Free makes its own sterilizer. Does anyone know if it will fit the Dr. Browns?

I just filled a large bowl with boiling water and boiled all my bottles and their parts (I undid everything first -- like took the nipples out of the bottles and the caps off and all) for about 10 minutes. I didn't do it on the stove with the heat on, just boiled the water, put in the pieces and bottles, then let them sit 10 minutes.
I plan to just use the dish washer on high heat from now on (they're in ziploc bags all put away in the cabinets now so they won't get dusty in case she doesn't come for another few weeks).
I didn't really see the need for a special bottle sterilizer. Sorry I can't answer the other question about whether they'll fit in the other brand's device. Maybe Xpost on parenting?

I registered for the First Years one. The people at BBB told me it will work with all bottles and accessories. Although, not necessary I registered for one because we don't have a dishwasher and I just feel like this will get the bottles cleaner after I wash them by hand especially since my husband doesn't like using hot water to wash things because it burns his hands, haha.

My MIL is buying me this for Xmas. I have a dishwasher but I just feel like this would be easier b/c I can just keep them in there nice and sanitized until Im ready to use them.

ITA. When I used bottles for DD, this is what I did. Unless you have lots of counter space, I don't see the need for it.

Dr. Brown's also makes a microwave sterilizer. We have it, although I think I tend to boil in a pot more often. We have a dishwasher basket, but have not used it.
