bottle nipple inverting? - (tommee tippee) question
We recently got tommee tippee bottles. I'm not sure why, but my 6 week old is doing something so that the nipple gets inverted while he's eating.
He's done this with the medela nipples that came with breast pump, but I always thought they were just cheap nipples. We have one avent bottle, that he doesn't invert. They are all level 1 nipples.
Does this mean the flow is too slow for him on his bottles?
I think I mean the nipple collapses ... not sure what to call it

Re: bottle nipple inverting? - (tommee tippee) question
my 1st guess is that the nipple is too slow.
my DS was doing that too, so i switched to level 2 nipples and no more issues! (we use born free)
around 4 mos, he was consistently collapsing the level 2s, so I took a steak knife to all my level 1s and 2s to make the openings larger. Worked perfectly, and I didn't have to buy level 3s!
I figure I'll reuse the bottles, rings, and inserts for baby #2, but i'll buy new nips anyway, so it really doesn't matter if i cut them all!
