Re: Both hands in mouth!

I think it's just that they discovered their hands. Its a milestone, two hands together and putting things in mouth.

DD started doing this about 2 weeks ago, I think it's just discovery~! She also stares at her hands now.Chat Icon

Re: Both hands in mouth!

DS started this at 3 months and loves to suck his fists, especially when I'm carrying him on my shoulder. Doctor said it's a sign of teething and he will soon want to put everything in his mouth. Chat Icon

Babies discover things by putting them in their mouths. Hands included! Chat Icon She could also be trying to suck her thumb, both my DC are doing that now.

Re: Both hands in mouth!

i personally don't think it's a sign of teething - like i mentioned in your other thread, DS started putting his hands in his mouth - often both Chat Icon - around 4 months old and didn't actually start teething until over a month later.

when i could see the bumps under the gums, and DS started rubbing his cheek near his ear, that's when i knew his teeth were coming in

Re: Both hands in mouth!

DS does this too
Sometimes (if it's one hand) he is hungry
other times, he spits the bottle out and puts his fists in
Dr. said his bottom gums were a little swollen so maybe it is early teething
