Booooo :-(
Dr. Hanauer called me back this afternoon and said that i shouldn't start TTC this month since I am on the antibiotic for my face breaking out.. She said that she's usually the one that says don't worry about anything but this she wouldn't take while TTC. So, she said to wait until next month...  So, I am officially out for this month, my first month I thought.   for me next month and all the other girls who are out this month with me!

I had a very similar experience  Be glad you aren't trying -- some weird birth defects can happen from the antibiotics you use on your face

The facial antibiotics are some of the worst during PG/TTC. There are also very few topical creams that are safe, so check everything out with your dermatologist.
When did your doctor prescribe these antibiotics? Did you tell him you were ttc, or did you just recently decide? Did you ask Dr. Hanauer how long they stay in your system, in case you need an additional month off TTC if you take the full 30 day of pills?
 it will go quickly, and just think, you'll have clear skin for ttc!

yeah, I heard they were bad so thats why I wanted to check first with her.
I was prescribed the medication just 2 weeks ago. I didn't tell the Dr about TTC because we hadn't started yet and I didn't even think about the antibiotic being bad with TTC. But now we started saying we should start tring this month soI figured I'd ask the Dr. before I start trying...
I did ask her about how long it stays in your system as well. She said that I could start next month because once I finish the meds, it will be out of my system right away.... It wont affect after I finish...
So may next month be the magic month for me.
