BM Flat vs Matte paint questions
I currently have BM Regal flat paint in my house and have hated it. The website says washable but it is NOT, you get a burnished mark when you try to wash it or brush up against it.
I am being told the matte is washable also but is that true? Is it more durable than flat or not really? My painter is suggesting Matte and says it is washable but I am hesitant to believe that after my experience with flat (also was told it was washable).

I have the BM matte in my living room. It washes off pretty well, but not as well as the eggshell finish.

I painted Regal Flat also - and it stinks to clean...the marks come off but water and magic eraser discolor the wall and when it dries it looks like an oil spot...I love the finish but it's a plain to keep clean...when we have kids we're screwed...
Every once in awhile I just touch up any spots that get dinged - but how long can I keep that up! 
I have Regal Eggshell in my bathroom and that holds up much better...

I have Matte...can't tell you yet how it washes.
Then again, honestly, ever since those Magic Eraser pads were born, I always find they work if I need them - no matter what the paint type.
I have eggshell in some rooms, and I dislike it......it looks good in certain angles, but sometimes the light hits it and it isn't very forgiving.

flat paint never washes well. sure its washable that it won't come off the wall, but that doesn't mean it will look the same when dry.
mattes usually washes ok satins wash better. the higher the gloss the better it washes

The only BM paint I have found to be washable without leaving a mark is Aura.
