Bloodwork Results...I'm FREAKING...UPDATED
OK, so my dr just called me to tell me that my FSH an LH levels came back a bit too high for her liking, she wants me taking the test again on CD3 next cycle...she said that high levels indicate early menopause!! I'm 28 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told her I took the test right smack on CD13 when I was ovulating, wouldn't that cause LH levels to surge and go up??? She wasn't 100 percent convinced that they would go high at that point... Anyone else know anything about this!!! I'm beyond upset, sitting at my desk trying my hardest not to break down and cry!!!
UPDATE: so she just called me back and I was freaking out, she said that she misspoke, that if I did take the test on CD13 I was at my mid cycle peak so my levels are actually normal for that time!!!! I could have KILLED HER

Do you know what your numbers were? Bloodwork should be taken at CD3
Here is a good resource:

Re: Bloodwork Results...I'm FREAKING
I know it's hard, trust me, I KNOW, but try not to freak out just yet. It's hard to get a clear picture of what's going on without the CD3 testing. What's more, even if this is an issue for you, it is NOT insurmountable.
I have a good friend who was told the same, actually for her, she had progressed much, much, much further. She proceeded with a few cycles of IUI with injectables and got pregnant on round two

Bloodwork should be done on CD3. If you were near ovulation your LH would be higher. Do you know what the numbers are?

I am sorry about the results....your FSH is very high....I hope that it was a fluke....FSH does rise during ovulation but not much only by couple of points....it should't go over 12 (which many doctors consider premature ovarian failure syndrome).....You need to retest on CD3 and then see what is going on....
I would post this on Infertilty as many girls there deal with high FSH....they will be able to give more advice....
Good luck to you....

Yes, they are definitely supposed to increase as you ovulate, but the levels, even at ovulation, should be within a certain range, so your bloodwork may be showing that, while your levels increased as they should have, they may be over the target range. But, again, it's really the CD3 testing that's most reliable.
I'd definitely call your doctor back and find out what the exact numbers were. That will give you a clearer idea of whether or not you were within the recommended ranges.

I'm waiting for her to call me back, but I think she said 9.5 for FSH...but I'm still waiting for a phone call back, I totally could have misheard her....I just wish she woudl call me back already!!!

Thanks!!! I already started to freak out reading all these insane things which didn't make sense for me, that essentially if what she was saying was true I wouldn't be getting periods for a while, and if anything my periods are like clockwork!!! I swear, I'm now looking for someone better, eventhough I'm going to take the tests over again when I'm supposed to take them!!!

Thanks...so my levels was 25.9 and the normal range was up to 33.4 for midcycle peak which makes it normal, I'm still retesting on CD3 to double check!!!
Thanks ladies for all your help again!!!
