blood test?

I'm not sure what to do. I've been taking the ovulation predictor tests for months now and the results have always been the same. I O and then 10 days later I get my period. Only recently did i realize that this was considered a short luteul phase. So I called my doctor about it and they suggessted I get a blood test the next time I ovulate....In the meantime I started taking B6 vitamins cuz I heard that was suppossed to help. I think it worked cuz I got the smiley face today- 3 days sooner than I usually do. But now I don't know what to do. The office told me to get the blood test the day after I ovulate- which I cant do anyway cuz it's saturday...and then I'm not even sure if I need it cuz if I get AF when I usually do my luteul phase seems fine...but then again- what if my period comes sooner? Do I get the test? Should I be going in today? Any advice??

If you got the smiley today then you will O 12-36 hrs from now. I'd call the Dr. Mon. and see what they say. You might still be able to go on Mon.
