Blood Test
I spent my lovely morning at the hospital due to chest pains. Before they could do an X-ray, they asked if I was preggos and said I didn't know. They took some blood, and it was negative. I am on CD 39 and 16 dpo, but still no AF and no other symptoms. Am I out definitely this month or do I still have an ounce of hope?

I think it was CD 23. I have also been on antibiotics, which always screws up my cycle, and I don't know what my luteal phase would be since it changes every month. It has ranged from 14-20 days.

ok maybe since you are on antibiotics and it messes with your cycle.. you didnt ovulate this month... OR you could have O'ed later than you thought.. therefore the neg. pregnancy test..

Honestly? You're probably out.
Blood tests should be accurate fairly soon after ovulation and if you are at least 10 DPO, I'd say the results were accurate. It would pick up even the slightest trace of hCG. Do you know what your hCG was?

I'm okay if I am out. Just onto the next month. They never went over the results with me, and I was too loopy to ask.
