Block Island Hotels

Any rec's for hotels on Block Island? Also, how is the island in the fall? Are there still restaurants open and things to do? TIA!

We went at the end of September for a wedding. We stayed at the Harborside. It was rustic, tilted floor, tiny bathrooms, but served it's purpose. Things were starting to close. The day of the wedding was beautiful and we went out after and had so much fun. The day after was miserable weather and we all watched football in this bar that was closing for the season that night. It was so funny, you'd order a beer and it would be the last one of that brand.

ETA: There were like 3 weddings on the island that day so hotels were booking up quickly. I think weddings are very popular there in the fall.

I stayed on BI years ago around the third week in September. I stayed at the Blue Dory Inn in a small cottage. It was lovely - very romantic. The bars and restaurants were quiet in comparison to how they are at the height of the season.
