Bleeding... (update below)
I had a 5 day transfer last Sunday (8 days ago), with two embryos.
Tested this AM, negative
I just went to the bathroom, there was a minimal amount of very dark brown blood in my panties. I thought it was my period. I wiped and there was VERY light brown blood on toilet paper. That made me think it's not my period.
Not to be gross, but usually when period starts, it is bright red, and even if just a little in panties, when I wipe, there is a TON of bright red, thick blood.
Is this a period? Implantation bleeding? What is that like, for those who have had it? For those who have had IVF and failed, how soon thereafter do you get your period? I feel like 8 days is a little soon?
I called my doctor's office and left a message, but want your thoughts.

I'm sorry, but I've been always been told that implantation bleeding is the exception, not the norm. Your AF could be different than normal, especially if you are on progesterone. Or you could be pregnant and just spotting from the progesterone!
You won't know for sure until you get the beta done, so I'd try to expect the worst and hope for the best!!! When is beta?

No idea on beta, I emailed to ask about that this AM.
I read (in more than one place) that 1/3 of women have implantation bleeding. Not sure if this is true.
I am on progesterone suppositories and progesterone in oil.

I do not think you can say what the cause of the bleeding is since this is a medicated cycle. I believe implantation bleeding occurs closer to ovulation though.

Bleeding...
Well I had implantation bleeding in my prior naturally conceived pregnancies but this one which was IVF due to secondary infertility (tubes) I had no implantation bleeding.

Progesterone suppositories can also cause exactly what you are describing.

And brown blood is old blood so it could've come from the procedures.

Yes I. Had bleeding from irritation from the progesterone It can be so many things good or bad wih a medicated sucker you just don't know
He didn't schedule a beta for you?

I got AF 3 days after I stopped progesterone. My period was VERY heavy both times. TMI, but I soaked through a super tampon in an hour. (Note: I had never used a super tampon in my life so AF was very atypical!)

Nope. I emailed Linda to ask this AM, haven't heard back, I will address it when they call me back about the bleeding.

I have had bleeding with all three failed cycles and now with this current successful cycle. Had you asked me prior to this transfer I would say bleeding for me always meant a negative test result, but this time I started bleeding at 8dp5dt and I'm currently 5w5d (still very early, I know). I don't know what the bleeding means this time around (I'm on prog supp and PIO) but it's reared it's ugly head almost every day since 8dp5dt. Try not to read into it too much if you can (I know!) and wait for beta...GL!

Well if you are on progesterone, it could be a few things! I had spotting on suppositories with DS! Good luck!!!

it sounds like AF since you are like 13dpo and tested negativet; but ya never know! many many stranger things have happened! good luck!

Bleeding... (update below)
I spotted throughout the 10 wks of being pregnant and bled once during my pregnancy. I ended up losing it at almost 10 weeks but the spotting started on cd23. Doc told me it was normal. Some women just spot. My levels kept increasing and I saw the hb... In the end it was a bad pregnancy. I also know woman who spotted and had successful full term healthypregnancies.
