Blatant bra strap
Someone I work with routinely has open-backed shirts on with her bra showing. She told me it's trendy.
I dismissed it, because I never like showing bra strap, even with tank tops. If I do, I'm matching the color of the tank so it's not as noticeable and even then, I'm usually wearing a shirt over it. (I don't like the way I look in tanks besides that anyway)
Last week I'm watching the finale of the Real Housewives of NYC and I see Alex wearing a white dress with a plunging back, and with her plain old bra strap showing right in the middle.
Am I out of touch here, is this a thing now?

A dress with a plunging back should never have a visible bra. I'm not aware of that being a trend and I get every fashion mag available. 
I'll wear wife beaters and let my bra strap show, but I think that can look sexy sometimes, but that's really my only exception.

I see a lot of people wearing sheer tops with regular bras. I'm not a fan either and I LOVE the tops with crochet or sheer backs, but I still make sure they don't dip low enough in the back to show my bra through.

This bothers me more than bra strap. Its like what is the point, just wear our bra without anything.

 I couldn't get over it, I thought it was her bra strap showing thinking OMG, how did she not noticed it was showing and I'm so not a prude either, I've seen so much worse and though eh, its NYC who cares...
