Black tie wedding in FL? what to wear
I have a black tie wedding in FL this Feb. Can I wear a knee length dress or does it need to be a floor length??

I think a knee-legnth dress will be fine. As long as it is not a hoochie-mamma dress.

ps- these dresses are cute. but not for a wedding
ed: I am posting examples bc I have seen women (not girls!) wear dresses VERY similar to these. If it were my wedding, I would have been PIZZED. We are NOT at a night club, ladies!

I really wanted to wear my hoochie-mamma dress, guess I will have to save it for the next wedding!!!

where in FL is it? Reason I ask is because some people are unaware of FL weather. If it's i n Central or North Florida and it is a night wedding be prepared for the evening to be 30 degrees or below

i'm not sure if i agree with the PPs. Black tie technically insinuates a floor length gown and all men in tuxes. most people put black tie to be sure everyone is at least in a suit for men and dress... but i hate when they say black tie...it really means gown and tux.
the location of the wedding usually can help you dictate your dress. i was at a black tie wedding wedding in FL..thank god i was in the bridal party, so i was covered, but i have to say most people were in long dresses or very fancy cocktail dresses....
