black & white party
I'm going to a black & white party at a club for an 18th birthday party this weekend. I don't really think this is a typical teenager's birthday party, as this particular 18 year old is rather mature and "hip" for lack of better word.
Do you think a black cocktail dress with black capri leggings is Ok? I don't want to be underdressed, but I don't want to look too dressed up either.

I would wear club wear.. being that it's a b&w party.. I would wear black skinny pants/jeans with a black top and a white blazer.. love that look!
why would you wear black capris with a cocktail dress?

Not capris-leggings that are capri length
That's a cute look but I don't have any of those things in those colors unfortunately!

I wouldn't wear leggings with a cocktail dress, and I am not a fan of capri leggings in general since I think they cut the leg at an odd place.
I would wear tights or boots.

Do you have a pic of the dress? I can't blame you for wanting to wear leggings- it's COLD. I might wear boots though, too. But I don't think that'd be too dressy for a club. Did they say what club it was?

Yah it's so chilly out and I thought the leggings would dress it down a bit lol--I'll have to upload a pic when I get home/my week stops being so crazy.
It's at VIBE in Hicksville, but there's no website or anything for the club.

I wouldn't normally think so, but he works for a DJ company and the company like owns this club or something.
