Birth Certificates
How long did it take for you to recieve the babys birth certificate. My son will be six weeks on friday and I already recieved his social security card. When did everyone else recieve their childs.

I got bc 3 weeks, and social security 6 wks.
my sils' son who was born in oct. still has not received either. She called them and they said it will be soon. She had him at Stoneybrook. I know they were delayed on sending out information.

In NJ, I had to go to the city hall in the town he was born (I guess mnaking it the townhall then  ) to get it myself. They are not mailed out automatically.

I waited 2.5 months before I got another copy (they claimed they sent it out after 4 weeks) and it came in with a mistake on it So now I am waiting for a new corrected copy...DS is going to be 4 months on the 22nd.

DD was born at LIJ which is technically in NYC. We received SS card in 3 weeks, Birth cert in 4-5 weeks.
