Biggest & Cheapest Selection of baby food
So my DS loves food. I love the prices of Walmart, but they don't have the same selection as the supermarkets.
He likes Gerber, Parents Choice & Beechnut (no prefrence except he doesn't like green beans).
Where do you find the largest selection at the best prices on baby food?
My DS is on stage 2 mixed things (ie fruits, veggies, oatmeal, pasta) and my ped told me in a week or so we can start meats & yogurt.
Edited, sorry but I'm way too busy to make my own. I work full time and commute. Wish I could, but don't have any time.

Honestly? Pathmark. They have the best selection & there is always a sale on either Gerber or BeechNut.
Sometimes you can get jarred fruits /veggies for like 59 cents a jar.

oohh!! 59 cents isn't bad. Walmart is around 80cents for the two pack.

I like the Target Up/Up brand...their puffs are $1.59 (I think) and I like the fruit selection. They are 82 cents for a 2 pack of stage 2.

I'm all about store brands.
Does the Up/Up brand at target come in a larger selection than the Parent's Choice brand (Parents Choice doesn't have too much to offer).
I want my DS to try everything. (I'm a horribly picking eater and I want to prevent this for my son).

All they had in stock in Medford was fruit (apple, pear, peach, banana). We only do limited veggies due to her allergies, so we can't do any mixed fruits/veggies until we try the singles first. BJs has the case of fruits and case of veggies for a decent price (Beechnut). Sometimes babycheapskate.com will have a link to a deal for babyfood also.

We just tried the Up/Up brand of puffs and their great...so cheap!! I buy most of my baby food from Target as well.

Kerry-Big Lots my me has a decent baby section. Large jars of food for .30. cereal for $1.00 etc. They don't have a huge selection, but thats where I buy all my peaches and butternut squash. recently I found Gerber organic there too

This is a great thread, thanks for starting it. I've never been in a Big Lots store and there's one near my house. Do they sell diapers and formula?
I buy the Target Up&Up brand of each for DS. If I can get items cheaper somewhere else, I would consider it.
How much does the Walmart generic formula go for? TIA!
