Big Question!
Okay so I'm trying to be as casual about TTCing as I can and just let me and hubby have fun. But let's say I'm preggo and don't know it and have wine or something! Does anybody know anything about this?? Thanks!!

Re: Big Question!
My sister was 3 weeks pregnant when she went out to my Bachelorette Party, mind you she didn't know she was pregnant. She drank a lot and she drank a lot for my wedding and rehersal dinner. Thank fully she has a healthy baby girl now.
Since you are casually TTC and theres a chance you will get prgnant soon... I would just drink moderately or not at all.
Good Luck!!

Re: Big Question!
Lots of women drink, smoke, or do other things not knowing they are pregnant and do not harm the baby. Have you seen the show "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant"? I believe you don't share blood with the baby until 5 weeks. My friend was drinking without knowing she was pregnant and has a healthy 3 year old girl today. I wouldn't stress it. But if you're worried, just don't drink while you are TTC.

Re: Big Question!
stay away if you can BUT it really is not an issue until 5-6 weeks when the placenta and fetal pole really begin to form. there is no exchange of anything before then

Re: Big Question!
Its fine. The baby doesn't share the mother's blood or about six weeks (smart, right?)

Re: Big Question!
I think it's fine as well. As a precaution, I have stopped drinking. I wasn't a big drinker as it was, so it wasn't a big deal. I had my last dessert wine that I love the other night.

Re: Big Question!
As long as your not a big drinker, it is fine. A drink here or there is not going to make a difference before you get your BFP. My BFF had a honeymoon baby, and they were in Italy when she got pregnant. She drank the entire trip, and now has a healthy two year old.
