Bidet
So, my new house has one b/c the last pple put one in when they re-did the bathroom a few years ago. I NEVER used it since we moved in back in Sept. Honestly, do pple really use it? It's next to the toilet
Is it going to sit there forever for show?
DH suggested getting rid of it and putting in another toilet so we have his and hers Men LOL

Re: Baday
I have a friend who has a bidet and they use it. When I was in Europe I used the one in the hotels..it was a novelty.
It also took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to use it!

Re: Baday
At my last job our ladies room had a bidet function built into the toilet... you could control the water pressure AND temperature! Not gonna lie, it was NICE!!!! I wouldn't want one in my home bathroom though. DH already spends half his life in there, he might never leave if we had this

Re: Bidet
I lived with one for 25 years until I moved here in the US.
I don't have one here. I know they are not popular here.
I do miss it though.

To clean your privates.
I love going to Europe because I love a bidet! Nothing like having a fresh undercarriage even if you have a midday poo!

Re: Bidet
We actually passed on buying a co-op once because it had a bidet ... we didn't want one and to get rid of it would have meant redoing the entire bathroom, which we didn't have the money to do.

Re: Bidet
i would totally use it!!
if you don't want to get rid of it, perhaps start 'training' yourselves to use it after you use the toilet who knows, maybe you'll like it!

Re: Bidet
I am trying to convince DH to let me get one when we do our reno!
It is great, you can wash your feet, shave, or do a quick washup without taking a whole shower. I use it daily when I am in Italy

Re: Bidet
my friend just bought a house with one. She had a contractor take it out and retile that piece of the floor. It wasn't a big deal at all.

Re: Bidet
We have two! The previous owners re-did the basement bathroom and the main bathroom and put one in each. We are not going to remove them b/c we don't want to spend the $$ redoing the bathrooms just yet. We have the water to them shut off b/c my kids were constantly turning it on When they asked me what is was for, I said it's to clean your feet

We've been in the house for 3 yrs and haven't used them. The bathrooms are not our taste at all but are new and there's no way we're re modeling them anytime soon.

DH is Argentine so we know a lot of people who have them in their homes. They come in really handy when the littles ones have an poop explosion.
