BFing moms 12+ months, a pumping question
I only BF in when Sasha wakes up, and at bedtime.
On Sat night, we are staying at a hotel on LI, and Sasha is staying with my mom. I am on the fence as to if I should put her to sleep vs my mom with a bottle-- but if I don't BF should I pump? Then I won't nurse her again in the AM either.
Do you think missing those 2 nursing sessions would screw up whatever supply I have left??

I don't think one night will screw up your supply at all, but I do think you may be engorged if you don't do either. I'd probably just put her to bed myself, but that's just because Shane is still a pain for anyone else to put to bed but me. If she'll go down easy for your mom then let her, but I'd probably pump then. Have fun!

When I got down to 2 sessions a day anything I missed screwed up my supply and I had to compensate with fenugreek and extra pumping.

I was struggling with my supply by the time we went down to 2 nursing sessions. DS dropped the night nursing session after a few weeks. I'm still nursing him in the morning. I never felt engorged when I dropped the night session, but I think my supply was pretty low at that point. I don't think skipping one session will affect you, but you may be engorged if you skip 2 in a row.

When I miss the night feeding I do not pump anymore. Not sure about missing the AM feeding though. I think you would probably be fine as long as you don't get engorged anymore - which I am sure you don't. And I don't think missing the feeding wll screw with your supply. What about doing a little squeeze while you are in the shower? I do that on mornings that DD doesn't wan the other breast. That way you are still getting some of your milk out, but you don't have to lug your pump with you.
