BFing moms - when did you get AF back?
I'm 2 days past 6 months pp. We JUST started solids yesterday, but I do work and pump (no supplementing though, so DS is EBF.) It would appear AF is making a comeback. I feel like this is early for an EBF baby/mom. Just curious what others experienced.
He recently (last 2 weeks) started sleeping a longer stretch at night, going 7-8 hours without nursing (from 6pm-1 or 2am). I have not been pumping during that time usually, maybe once or twice but typically no. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

it can vary - i have a good friend that ebf and got her first pp af when her lo was 3 months and i know others that have gone 11 months without a period.
technically i would have gotten my first period when dd was 6 months...but i ended up getting pregnant instead so af never came
dd was EBF, i pumped while at work too

BFing moms - when did you get AF back?
4 months when I went back to work for a few weeks before I became a sahm. I didn't pump as much as I should have and I think that's what caused it. Nothing happened to my supply. She will be 7 months this week and since 6 months I no longer pump through the night either. I think typically it's 7/8 months it will come back. Fun lol

I don't BF as you know but I do pump 6-7 times a day and have since H was born and I'm pretty sure AF came back last week @ 6wPP. I got screwed!

Both my kids were EBF and pumping for 6 months. With first got Af at 4.5 months, and with second at 10 weeks postpartum.

My son nursed like crazy(no bottles and very few solids). Still nursed every 2-3 hours through the night. And I still got mine back at 9 months PP.

It can definitely vary widely. With my first, AF returned at 11 months PP. With my second, it came back 9 months PP.

DD was EBF until 7 mo and continued to BF in addition to real food until 13 mo. And I am one of the lucky ones who got AF 6 wks PP.

I'm 8 mos in & I still haven't gotten AF. I nurse several times a day & pump when I'm @ work. We'll see what happens when my DD starts eating more food & takes less milk!

First of all- SO awesome that he is EBF when you are back working. That was so hard for me with DD.
With DD1 I got AF back 7 months PP. DD2 is 5 months I think I may have gotten a warning AF back in March but have not seen anything else yet.
