BF Moms Dental Work Question

My 11 month old DS is BF (no bottles, will drink milk from a sippy cup.) I have a dental appointment for next week bc I've needed to go since before I got pregnant with him but I hate the dentist and I've put it off as long as I could.
Any dos/don'ts for getting dental work while BFing? (Def fillings, and will probably need a wisdom tooth removed at some point).

Also, I plan to BF until he's at least 2, so it's not like I can just wait another month and wean him.

TIA.

I'd ask your ped, especially if you need a lot of work done. Certain things will definitely wind up in your milk. I really don't remember the specifics though.

I had a tooth pulled when DC was 3 months old. Dentist said to dump 1 st pump after I got home because of the novocaine. But when I asked the LC at the hospital where DC was born, they said it was not necessary to dump. I was comfortable following the LC advice.

Thank you.

Kelly Mom says it's all fine, too.

ETa: he's 11 months and eats solids during the day, he nurses mainly overnight anyway. My appointment is at 10am, so if anything I'll push him off until closer to the evening to nurse and I'll give him pre-expressed milk in a cup to hold him over.
