Between diaper sizes?
My daughter is 5 weeks and now weighs 9 lbs, 2 oz. :) We were in newborn pampers swaddlers, but they seemed tight and someone gave us a box of the next size up, the 1s, which are in theory good for 8-14 lbs. Well, last night she had a poop explosion and was in the size 1s; the poop went down her leg, onto the bouncy (she was napping) and was a huge mess. Now, I know this can happen of course but today she pee'd and once again, the diaper leaked. The 1s seem big on her skinny little legs and I think that's what is causing the leak, but the newborn diapies seem tight on her little buddha belly! Hmmm.....

Re: Between diaper sizes?
We're in the same spot right now. She's just 9 lbs and between sizes. I did find that diapers run very differently and the swaddlers seem to be smallest of the nb ones i have (swaddlers, baby dry, luvs). I just switched to ones from my diaper cake which are huggies 1s and I put them on super tight and no blow-outs yet. Seems like it's going to be trial and error and a lot of laundry for another week or so.
But goodness, can I just say -- isn't it amazing how fast our girls are growing?!!

hey girlie! i have huggies 1s...haven't tried them yet! So far I have used the Swaddlers and also the Huggies Pure and Natural. Those are ok but the tabs don't stick too well. And yes, I actually had to remove the bouncy from the frame and launder the entire seat. At least it came out nicely and smells of Dreft now!

Re: Between diaper sizes?
My friend gave me half a giant box of Luv's that her daughter outgrew from Costco and I'm excited to try them and hopefully have good results because they're so much cheaper than the Pampers... but I want to use what's out of packages from the diaper cake and wreath from my shower first (I meticulously had put them in ziploc bags right after my shower) and that's all huggies. I can't use any of the sensitive ones because I'm allergic to aloe, but so far keeping her dry and the A&D ointment has worked and prevented any sort of rash... hope that continues!

Re: Between diaper sizes?
Like PP said, different brands run differently - maybe try a different one. This often happens with DS and lasts about a week or so where he's in between, I tend to go with the smaller than the larger, but depends how tight they are.
