Bethany Beach, Deleware?

Thinking of a trip for DH, and DD in May (She'll be 8 months)

We've been to Ocean City a million times and figured we'd try something new.

What's Bethany Beach like? Is there a lot to walk around and see? Or is it more of a driving around vacation? Any hotel/rental suggestions?

I saw a place called Sea Colony that was almost like a resort there... does anyone have any feedback on it? <if you do I might have a ton of follow-up questions!>

We have a house there. It is much smaller, but perfect for families. It has a small boardwalk that has some stores and food places. It has one large block that has lots of great stores and restaurants, both beachy and upscale. Love Grotto's pizza! There is an arcade, miniature golf, old fashioned photo place and they have great concerts on Friday nights on the boardwalk.
B/c Bethany is smaller, parking and beach space is limited. The nice thing about Sea Colony is that you will have easy access to the beach. It will be a bit of a walk to the "downtown", but doable or an easy bike ride.
