Best Yet
How is the selection of organic fruits and vegetables at the Best Yet store in Massapequa?
Most of our Supermarkets have a very limited organic selection and I wanted to hear from anyone who shops at Best Yet.
Please GOD send Massapequa a WHOLE FOODS!!!!

the one in Farmingdale? on merritts?
I shop there on my lunch break - i work right down the block. I don't shop specifically organic, so I can't give you an accurate read on that, but overall, I like the store. It has the small town market feel.
I think I only recall seeing 1 "organic" case.
You could also try Giunta's meat farms on rt 109 in farmingdale. the store is new, its immaculate, and they have great prices. The produce is great - i LIVED in there when i was preggo and craving fruit.

Re: Best Yet
I agree with Nic - go to Giuntas. Their produce is fresh and the prices are really great. Between there and BJs, I barely step foot in the food store these days. I'm not a fan of Best Yet and only run in there if I have to pick something up real quick because it's so close I could walk there.

Re: Best Yet
I love Guintas,...although most is not organic the fruit there is a great price and a great quality. Also, I get my cold-cuts from there too!

Nope, there is one on Merrick Road in Massapequa now. Near the Amityville border.
I don't shop there often enough to know the answer to the OP though. I love their meat section.

Oh how I wish!! I haven't been to Best Yet, but the Stop and Shop in Amityville has decent (but definitely not great) organic selection.

Re: Best Yet
I don't live anywhere near there, but comparing the Best Yet to the Guinta's near me - Guinta's has a bigger organic selection of fruits & veggies but it seems to be hit or miss (as in some days I find a ton to choose from, other days I' mlucky to find anything). At Best the only organic I've ever found has been apples.

Re: Best Yet
I sometimes shot at the one in WEst Islip and nothing is organic so I am not there often.
