we love the puddle jumper. He may not be big enough for what the weight on it says but my dd wasn't and we used them anyway, obviously with someone there watching her like a hawk and they were great. She swam really well and "by herself" with them

Best Swimmy Wings for 18 month old boy
puddle jumpers are great, but they are recommended for 30 pounds and up. DS was 25 over the summer (at 20 months) and it just didn't fit right on him still so I held him when we went swimming.

We bought a life vest for DS when he was that age - he was too small for the puddle jumper and he needed something to support his middle - not just his arms.

We had this for DD, Swim vest,however it was not enough to keep her afloat, so we paired it with these Floties. DD was 3.5 last summer and used the Floties alone. They are awesome!
