Best Mattress?
I have herniated discs and am in dire need of a new mattress, but not sure which type is best for my back. I currently have a pillow top, but it is so uncomfortable. Any suggestions for the right type of mattress for injured backs? TIA

Re: Best Mattress?
DH has 4 herniated disks, scoliosis, and shoulder issues. We have a very firm Beautyrest, not a pillowtop. I put a very padded mattress pad on top to give a little cushion. We had a memory foam one and hated it. Got rid of it fairly quickly and replaced it with the Beautyrest.
The best mattress is what you feel comfortable on. Lay on it in the store for a while, the way you would normally sleep.

We got a Stearns and Foster- but I needed the firmer one, not the softer one.
And memory foam was awful for my back and neck issues.
Your best bet is to go to sleepy's and lay on beds. Also do the analysis where you lay on the bed, they enter some info and it scans your back etc to see which bed is best for you

Re: Best Mattress?
I had a bob-o-pedic and I hated it. Had so many backaches from that mattress.
I just bought a Serta iSeries firm mattress and love it. No more aches and pains.

This is the ONLY way to pick a mattress. We even let our kids do it

Best Mattress?
We just ordered a Purple mattress. I kept hearing amazing things about them so we bit the bullet and ordered. They have a 100 night money back guarantee. If you're not happy they will refund your money and find a shelter or charity to donate the mattress to.
