This is going to sound BIZZAR..... But my ped recommended Crisco with dd1 & both my daughters NEVER had a single episode of diaper rash. Put a little on after every change, absorbed right in.

Honestly I don't use any cream. I put a little bit of Johnson & Johnson Cornstarch baby powder in each diaper. When he did get a rash this worked right away.

Do you use regular coconut oil like the cookig type from trader joes? What is the reason you use over regular diaper ointment? I am interested!
Yep, the cooking kind. I use organic unrefined and have a jar on our changing table with a plastic spoon...I scoop out a but and rub between my hands once and spread.
I use this because coconut oil is know to have restorative properties and is known to be "the miracle oil". It's as natural as you can get- 1 ingredient that I can identify and pronounce, I personally am much more comfortable with this versus petroleum based stuff that is full if chemicals.
I even use coconut oil as my own moisturizer, it's truly great- AND cheap relative to lotions! Do a quick google to learn more, I even heard that make-up maven Bobbi Brown uses it in her skin care regime!
I love coconut oil. I cook with it. But also have a jar for the skin from trader joes. It's a body cream. So I wasn't sure if you meant a coconut oil cream. I am going to switch, what do you use in a diaper bag, so you throw a jar in?
Do you know you can also whip coconut oil when it is in a solid state and it turns into a cream? I want to try this for myself but I was thinking of using it on my daughter a well.
